Visit Booth #8962, Hall C
Located in Hall C, stop by BEA’s booth and demo our Public Transportation Solutions. BEA’s sensor-based solutions are developed for the safety and activation of train, tram, subway and bus doors, as well as platform screen doors. We are committed to integrating our sensor technology into a comprehensive portfolio of solutions that meet the diverse needs of the public transportation market. Various solutions ranging from laser-based sensors to microwave touchless activation will be available for hands-on demonstrations at our APTA Expo booth #8962 in Hall C.
Energy Savings Solutions for BART System
BEA is a proud partner with Bombardier Transportation in the development and implementation of sensor technology into the newly designed Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) train cars. CLICK HERE to read how BEA’s microwave and infrared sensors can improve energy efficiency and can protect passengers on BART train cars.
“…In order to save heating and cooling energy in the cars, the new train cars will be equipped with an optional energy saving mode, during which time doors can open at stations only when a passenger is standing in front of them. By opening doors only when necessary, the energy saving mode can help reduce the amount of lost heat or A/C from the cars. The doors will have redundant sensors to detect persons wishing to enter or exit the train.”
