Key Account Manager - Security and Access Solutions


The Key Account Manager – Security and Access Solutions position is responsible for supporting our Security and Access Solutions’ segment customers and our mission to build a convenient, safe, automated world. Success will be based on the effectiveness of this role to achieve our vision of continued growth and market expansion within this core segment.

This position is required to work in a cross-functional environment between various internal departments (including but not limited to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Codes and Standards, Quality, Procurement and Finance) and has the responsibility to align functional resources to achieve targeted strategies, objectives and financial results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue through sales of marketing-leading products, including electronic locking devices, ADA-compliant products and security sensors
  • Develop, maintain and implement buying programs with the goal of driving new revenue growth
  • Expand BEA’s presence in the whole distribution channel across North America
  • Interact with customer personnel at a senior level, collecting voice of customer (VOC) data, negotiating agreements and strengthen relationships within the Key Account customer base
  • Report results on key account growth, goals and quarterly initiatives
  • Submit forecasts for annual product usage at Key Account level
  • Analyze customer feedback and implement programs to improve the customer experience
  • Maintain technical knowledge and competitive understanding of the market through attending trade association events, standards meetings and customer events
  • Utilize CRM to enter opportunities, tasks, customer information and market-related data

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ Technical Sales experience in the Security and Access Control industry
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of Security and Access Control products, such as electronic locking devices, passive/active infrared sensors and other security entrance electronics
  • Extensive travel within North America, minimum 50%
  • Ideal Team Player mentality with excellent leadership and collaborative skills and proven success on a team
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers at various levels
  • Proven track record of successful business planning and growth in line with financial goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite of products, including Dynamics
  • Based in the Greater Pittsburgh area
