Production Manager


The Production Manager is responsible for managing a team of 11 employees that is expected to grow by more than 50% in the next calendar year to support the growing business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Production schedule which requires product and quantity to meet customer demand
  • Schedule staffing in Production Department and coordinate material usage in order to support customer orders and line fill
  • Provide supervision and training for all Production staff personnel
  • Construct and maintain accurate time records
  • Conduct routine inspections of work areas for safety and housekeeping issues
  • Provide constructive feedback to Production Department personnel via Smart Card process
  • Monitor, report and correct bottlenecks, material and process failures
  • Document, report and root cause material losses and inventory adjustments
  • Determine packaging requirements and source as necessary
  • Manage in-house label process
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization and external customers on a regular basis

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or mixture of experience and education)
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing management, supervising personnel and procedures
  • Knowledge of MRP process
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and/or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills
  • Expect level Microsoft Office skills
