FIRE RATED COMPLIANCE
WHAT IS IT?

It is a building code that requires per NFPA 101 Life Safety Code 2012 and later
adoptions that. Fire Door Assemblies (8.3.3.3 Fire Doors) shall be installed, tested and
maintained according to NFPA 80, which is a standard for which only labeled fire door
hardware shall be used and must comply with UL 10 B/C.

Inspections are required for health care facilities per the Center for Medicare &
Medicaid Services (CMS).*
