Creates Precise Detection Curtains

BEA’s LASER technology produces intense light beams at a rate of over 16,000 pulses per second – faster than the human eye blinks!

When these light beams reflect off the multi-faceted mirror in our sensors, curtains of LASER spread across your designated application. With the speed at which the beams pulse and the coverage of the LASER curtains, BEA’s LASER sensors can detect objects as small as two inches.

Mounts Anywhere

Since LASER-based ToF technology functions without the a background or reference point, LASER curtains continue to project from the sensor no matter the direction. This allows us to position sensors in horizontal or vertical orientations.

The mounting versatility enables the technology to be used in a variety of applications, from automatic pedestrian doors in retail environments to automatic gates in parking garages to loading docks in warehouses.

Operates Independently of Ground Conditions

Unlike other technologies, LASER-based ToF performs no matter the environment, even in changing weather conditions outdoors or inside a building with reflective flooring. Once the sensor emitter shoots a beam of light, the sensor receiver waits for the light to bounce back. During this time, the sensor is measuring the distance to and from objects detected.

After the distance is measured, the sensor can be programmed to ignore an area above the floor, creating the uncovered zone. The uncovered zone allows the sensor to operate independently from the floor or background, whether it's matte or shiny.
