BEA’s UNIVERSAL KEYPAD FAMILY offers field-proven reliability and a cost-effective solution anywhere access control is desired.
Available in both single gang and slim-line surface mount, these devices are designed for integration into security systems with electromagnetic locks, electric strikes and other equipment requiring on / off or momentary control inputs.
All programming is completed entirely from the keypad. Nonvolatile memory means codes settings will remain in the event of power loss.
IP66 rating ensures the device will withstand the elements in harsh, industrial and outdoor environments
Two-zone feature provides 2 relays and 2 exit button outputs for two-zone applications
Backlit numbers allow for ease of use in dimly-lit areas
Allows for up to 1010 user codes

Can the KEYPAD be powered by a BEA 24VAC transformer?
No. DO NOT EXCEED 30VDC or 24VAC.
What is the difference between zone 1 and zone 2?
Each zone has its own output relay.
What is the maximum number of users able to be programmed into the KEYPAD?
Zone 1 = 1000
Zone 2 = 10
Can a Request-to-Exit switch be tied in to a KEYPAD?
Yes. There are 2 dry contact inputs. One for zone 1 and one for zone 2.
Can the factory admin code be reset?
Yes. Power off and power back on while holding the # key.
Do the admin code and user code have to be the same length?
Yes. Changing the admin code length will delete all existing user codes.
Changing the admin code length will also reset the admin code back to a sequential number consisting of the correct number of digits (e.g. if the admin code length is changed to 6 digits, the admin code defaults to “123456”).
Can the KEYPAD be mounted outdoors?
Yes. KEYPADS are rated IP66.
Is it possible to erase only one user code?
No, but you can change a user code. Follow the same programming steps as you would to add a new user code; the new code will replace the old code.
Can a KEYPAD be used to unlock a door in the morning and then lock it at the end of the day?
Yes. Set the unlock time to 00. This puts it in toggle mode.
How does the door bell feature work?
If you connect an external speaker, pressing the * button acts like a door bell.
